Painting Spaciousness

Prayer FlagsI have always loved the ability to feel the vast spaciousness of our unlimited Universe!

I had the wonderful pleasure of being on a journey with Professor Lin Yun, the Grand Master of the Black Hat Sect of Feng Shui. A small chosen group went to Pre 1952 Tibet, now China for three weeks to visit a place called the Fairylands. The open rolling hills and the expansive vistas added to the incredible feeling of oneness with Mother Earth. We all could actually feel the heart beat of The Mother or a supper strong energy pulsating from the ground.

While I was there I was the happiest, and felt the most exhilarated in my life! Feeling fully enlivened and expansive are the energies that flow through this and other Cinnabar Paintings inspired from this trip.

Feng Shui Painting of Prayer FlagsOften colorful prayer flags were flying in the breeze sending blessings over the countryside. The channeled black scroll on the top of the painting carries a particular energy from the many Tibetans who roam the land from spring to fall with their vast tents and large herds to graze in the best pastures. They lived in grand white tents with intricate black scrollwork stitched on the tops and the sides. Beautiful thick rugs carpeted the floors. These tents were their homes for six months of the year.

In the spring a great Blessing Ceremony would begin the nomadic life of the families and their livestock. Every time they moved to new fields another great Blessing Celebration would occur. During these Blessings rituals of gratitude, and thanksgiving would take place with dancing and singing to honor the land. I believe the Tibetan shepherds and their families are one with this way of being and truly capture this spaciousness.
